フランス3日目 The 3rd day in France フランクフルトのストライキで足止めをくらった友人にやっと会えた We finally caught up my friend after finishing the strike of Lufthansa. でも疲れに疲れていたので、家で休んでもらい別行動 But she was too tired to go out, so she stayed at their house. フランスに嫁いだ友人と旦那さんと3人で一緒にエステレルへ The couple and I went to Esterel. 山好きなご夫婦は休みの度に山（岩山）に登りに行く人たちで Two of them are really like climbing.  簡単な岩山を指さして、「登ってみようか！」と言い出した My friend suddenly said that "Let's go and climb that mountain." ロープを使うような本格的な山ではないけれど It wasn't an actual mountain climbing because we didin't use a rope. かなりビビりながら、初岩山登山をしました I was so scared and also enjoyed my first experience of clibming. ランチも初めての山の上でフランスパン、チーズ、サラミの贅沢ランチ To have lunch on the top of the mountain is also the first experoence. 良い記念になりました It was a really nice experience. 山に向かう道中ではヤマモモやサボテンの実を採っては食べながら On the way, we picked up some bayberries and fruit of cuctas. 山からの海の景色を楽しみました And we enjoyed the sight of th...

フランス2日目 The 2nd day in France また時差ボケで昼間起き I got up at noon because of jetlag again. 市場が午前中で閉まってしまうと思いプロバンス市場へ急ぐ I rushed to the market in Provence. It should be closed at noon. 良かった。まだやってた。 It's good. They are still there. 青空市場なのに酪農家やお肉屋さん魚屋さんは冷蔵庫完備で販売 This market is outside, but they are well prepared refrige for their marchandise. その後13時から14時まで閉まっている（休んでいる）ピカソ美術館前で待機 After this, I waited in front of the Picasso museum. 知らなかったけど今日はたまたま無料デー Today's is the free day for everyone. スペインもフランスも定期的に美術館を無料開放して It's good that they give us chances to enjoy art 市民が美術に触れる機会を増やしているんだな by setting free day regurally. アンティーブにはピカソのアトリエがあって There is an atlier of Picasso in Antibes. 1945年以降の平和な時期に作成した作品や海に関する作品が並んでいる He created his paintings with peace and related to the sea after the WWII. アンティーブは夏に遊びに来るリゾート地で海がキレイ Antibes is the place for resort and has a beautiful ocean. ですが、今は寒くて閑散としています However, i t's cold and there are few people here. ...

スペイン最終日、フランス1日目 The last day in Spain and the 1st day in France. 出勤前の友達とカフェ朝ごはん Even if she had to go to work, she invited me to have breakfast in the morning. 別れを告げてひとりでゆっくり観光とお買い物 After saying good-bye, I went shopping alone. 日本では洋服を見ていて店員に話しかけられるのが苦手 In Japan, I don't really like to be talked by employees during shopping. 外国人旅行者感丸出しで心行くまでアクセサリーとにらめっこ For today non of employee talked to me. They might think that I cannot speak English or Spanish. どこでも買えるデザインだけど、バルセロナに行った記念 I felt like free to choose the accessories and bought cute ones. 次は 3年前にバルセロナに来た時には見に行かなかったガウディの作品「カサ・バトリョ」 When I visited Barcelona three years ago, I didn't have a chance to visit "Casa Batllo." 私財で補助金など受けていないために建物の維持管理に資金が必要で This world herritage is owned by one family not by goverment and they don't get any grant to keep it. 他のガウディの建築物と比較して入場料が高いんだそう So, the entrance fee costs more than other buildings which he created.  音声ガイド付きでスマートフォンをかざすとデザインの発想が写されたりして楽しめた ...

スペイン3日目 The 3rd day in Spain 午前中ソフィア美術館へ I went to the Reina Sofia Museum in the morning. ピカソのゲルニカが置いてあるので絶対行くべきとのこと They have a Guernica painted by Picasso and my friend told me that I should go. 幼稚園児や小学生が先生に引率されて絵の説明をしていた In fron of the Guernica, many kids were also enjoying with their teachers. 幼稚園児は絵を理解しているのか？と疑いながらも The teachers were trying to explain what the paint means, but I wonder if the kids really understand. 日本にもこんな教育があったら、もう少し私の絵画への理解が深まったのかもしれないな However, if I had this kind of education of art, I could have been interested more in the art. これまた「食べるべき！」と言われたボカディージョをお昼ご飯用に買って空港へ I got a bocadillo for lunch and went to the airport in Madrid. 10年ぶりの友達に会いにマドリードからバルセロナへ移動 Now, it is time to meet my old friend in Barcelona. サグラダファミリア集合なんて贅沢というか、なんだかオシャレ I just can't believe to meet my old friend in front of the Sagrada familia. バルセロナの街は小さめのかわいいタパスを食べれるお店がたくさんある In Barcelona, they have many cute restaurants on the each street. 今日はラグイールでスペイ...

スペイン2日目 The 2nd day in Spain 今日は9時から70km先のトレドに行こうと思っていたのに Today, I wanted to visit Toledo, which is 70km far from Madrid. 時差ぼけで11時起きでホテルの朝ごはんさえも逃す I just couldn't get up till 11 o'clock because of the jet lag. 時間的にお昼だけど、朝ごはんはコーヒーと昨日のチュロス It should be the time for lunch, but I had coffee and the churros from yesterday for breakfast. コーヒーはちゃんと1人分の小さいサイズが2ユーロ(218円)で売られている！ How nice that they sell a small coffee for 2 euros. 1.5人分の大きいサイズを4ドル(435円)で売るアメリカと違う It's just different from the United States where sell large for 4 dollars. あと、1日経ったチュロスは油まみれのスポンジと化し美味しくなかったので、 And more, the churros of left-over isn't way too ugly to eat,so  チュロスは必ず出来立てを食べましょう You'd better eat freshly made churros. 30分でトレドに着き、観光客の列に続いて中心地に向かう After the 30 minutes of train, I got to the Toledo station and went to the downtown. とにかく坂が多くて道が狭い The roads are really narrow and many hills everywhere. トレドもマドリッド同様、歩いて行ける距離に観光名所があるので便利だけど It's very nice that there are ma...

スペイン1日目 The first day in Spain. 朝9時半にマドリードのバラハス空港に着きました I arrived at Madrid-Barajas airport at 9:30 AM. 地下鉄でゲストハウス「ラスムサス」へ( https://lasmusashostel.com/ ) I took a subway to go to the hostel "Las Musas."   久しぶりの協力隊以来の2段ベッド泊 I haven't slept in bamk beds for these 5 years. とりあえず王宮に行ってみた First, I went out to see "the Palacio Real de Madrid" 無料で見れるという列があったので並んでいると I found the life for free, so I was getting on the line, but 「欧米人（もしくは市民権持っている人）だけ無料だよ」と言われ、 The employee told me that it's free for only US citizens and European. 列に並んでいた他のアジア人も撤退 The other Asian including me got out from the line. Sad. どうせ中に入っても理解が難しいし、また並ぶのも面倒なので外観だけ写真に収める It could be hard to understand inside and it bothers me to get on line again, so I just got a picture. その後スペインに留学していた友人から絶対に食べるべきと言われた My friend recomended the churros at chocolateria San Gines. チョコラテリア・ サンヒネスのチュロス( https://chocolateriasangines.com/ ) They are not sweet as I had in US. アメリカ最終日 The last day in the United States. 朝6:30に起きて空港へ I got up at 6:30 and my mom took me to the airport. スーフォールズ空港からミネアポリス空港まで1時間半のフライト The flight from Sioux Falls to Minneapolis took 1.5 hours. 4時間の乗り継ぎ時間があって、気が付いたら30分寝てたー I had 4 hours of transit and fell asleep for 30 minutes. 横になれるソファー最高！ Thank you so much for having a nice couch. 夕方ミネアポリスからニューヨークまで2時間半のフライト And I took my flight from Minneapolis to New York, which was 2.5hours. 次はスペインのマドリードへ The next stop is going to be Madrid, Spain.
