ベナン5日目 The 5th day in Benin 今日は毎週土曜日に開かれる市場の日 The market in Grand-Popo is held every Saturday. 今回の滞在でお世話になったみんなに果物のお返し I bought some fruits for the people who treated me very well during this stay. 食べさせてもらった分に値しているか分からないけれどほんの気持ち I'm not sure that it's enough to show my appreciation,  そんな風に循環している社会 but I just like this cycle in this society. お昼は唯一日本からFacebookで連絡がとれた同僚とご飯 For lunch, I went out with my ex-colleague. 農業センターで一緒に働いていた同僚は He, who was working in the same agricultural center,  少ないと文句をいいながらも一定額の給料をもらっている gets certain amount of money every month, which he complains that it's not enough. 待ち合わせ場所で待っていると While I was waiting him on the road, バイクしかもっていなかったはずがまさかの車で登場 he came up with his new car. ベナン4日目 The 4th day in Benin 今日は機織りおばちゃんの布を買いに行った Today I went to buy the cloth which the lady made. 手織りの布は12000F(屋台昼ご飯の30倍の値段)と安くはないけど It's not cheap at all because it costs 30 times more than their meal, but  この手間暇を考えると適正な価格 it should be a responsable price when you think of her hard work.  トヨタ自動織機からのトヨタ自動車への発展を見せてあげたいな（ http://www.tcmit.org/ ） I wish I could let her to show the development of  TOYOTA. 続いて村長さんのところに行くと、コミュニティ の話を延々としていた And when I visited the village headman, the people were talking about their community. 「何のために働くの？－みんなのために働くの」 "Why do the people work?" --- "The people work for the people." 「稼いだお金は誰のもの？ーみんなが生きてくためのお金なの」 "The money which you earn goes to where?" --- "It's the money for the people." お金を持っている人は独り占めしちゃいけないって People who have a lot of money may not monopolize. それを「社会主義」と言うのかもしれないけれど、 We call it "Socialism," but if I would say it simply, 簡単に...

ベナン3日目 The 3rd day in Benin 昨夜は夜中に大雨洪水警報レベルの滝のような雨が3時間降り続ける It was raining heavily and I was scared to be injured by flood. (hopefully nothing happend) 干しておいた服はびちゃびちゃで再度すすぎ The clothes that I washed and hanged yesterday were all wet because of the rain. 雨が上がり、いつも食べてた朝ごはんを買いに The rain stopped in the late morning and I went to get breakfast.  「ドコ（揚げパン）」と「ブイーユ（おかゆ）」 These are called "DOCO (doughnut)" and "Bouille (porridge)." 続いて仲良くしてもらった機織りのおばちゃんの家へ And I looked for a lady who were weaving the cloth もう会えないかと思っていた人に会えるから感動するんだな She was still there waeving a big cloth and it was a touching reunion. 「よく来たね～」って親切に水を出してくれる。 The Beninese give some water for the guests. 13時。35℃。 It was 35 degree at 13:00. とにかく暑いので家へ戻り、家の中は暑いので日陰で昼寝 It was seriously hot and took a nap outside because it gets hot inside. 日本人用の家はセキュリティが頑丈故、窓が少なくて風が通らない Since the houses for Japanese are well securitied with few windows, the wind does...

ベナン2日目 The 2nd day in Benin 今までのようにどこにでもWifiがあるわけではないので There is no wifi everywhere like developped countries. まずはコトヌーでSIM探し I look for a SIM in Cotonou before leaving. 隊員ドミトリー⇔事務所間にできたMTN（通信会社） There is a new MTN store which they didn't have 5 years ago. 身分証明としてパスポートを提出する I handed in the passport as an ID to employee. コピー機がないので必要な情報を紙に書き写している He started to copy it by hand because they don't have a copy machine. こりゃ1時間コースだなと思っていたら I suspected that it would take more than one hour. なんと15分で手続き終わった！しかも100F！ However, it's done within 15minutes and costs 100F. 道端のおばちゃんからもSIM買えますが、 We can buy SIM cards at the store on the road,  but it costs 1000F, 1000Fするらしいので店舗に行くとよいでしょう so it's better to go to the branch store. そして朗報！あのガタガタ・ぐちゃぐちゃの道がキレイになってる！ And what's new is that the bumpy road became proper completely. 道の状態によっては2～3時間かかっていたところが1.5時間でグランポポに到着 It took only 1.5hours wich is of course faster than befor...

ベナン1日目 The 1st day in Benin バルセロナ⇒パリ⇒ニアメー（途中降機）⇒ベナン I flew from Barcelona ⇒ to Paris ⇒ to Niamey ⇒ to Benin 寝床を貸してくれたバルセロナ空港から6:30発でベナンへ My flight from Barcelona to Benin left at 6:30AM. 予想外に1時間も早くついてしまったので、 My flight arrived one hour earlier than it's expected. 先にゲストハウスにチェックイン I was supposed to wait my friend at the airport, but I went to the guest house first for check-in. 再び待ち合わせ場所の空港に戻り協力隊の後輩と合流 And I went back to the airport to meet friend because there is no way to communicate. ユーロ⇒フランの換金もしてもらい（固定レート1€=656FCFA） She really helped me for my visit also before arriving. 元任地グランポポの家の鍵ももらい準備万端！ She exchanged money for me and gave a key of the house where I stay. 5年ぶりのカジェウン空港は入口と出口がそれぞれ広くなり、 T hey reconstructed the entrance and the exit wider than before. 隊員ドミトリー⇔JICA事務所間の道 も お土産屋さんが増えたりマイナーチェンジ The road where I used to use was also changed a little bit. 建物が新しくなった代わりに屋台が減っている印象 The buildings became new, but some st...

フランス最終日 The last day in France ニースの朝市へ向かう We went to the market in Nice. 今日は週に一度のアンティーク市 Today is the day of the antique market which is held once a week. あまり荷物も増やせないので、何も買わず、 Since I can't increase my stuff during this long trip, I didin't buy anything. 恒例の郵便局からポストカードを送る Instead of shopping, I looked for the post office and sent a postcard to Japan. そのあと記念に立ち寄ってみたかったモナコへ From the beginning, we wanted to enter Monaco, which is city-state in west europe. 今日は祝日で電車本数も少なく(本当に休みの日は休むフランス) Because today is a holiday, there are less trains. フランス4日目 The 4th day in France 今日も友人の旦那さんが運転していろんな所に連れて行ってくれた Today also her hudsband took us by car. 香水発祥のグラースという街に向かい香水の工場見学 We went to Grass city which is famous as the origin of perfume. 人工香料に頼らず自然の植物から香料を抽出するのは It's not easy to extract the perfume from natural plants not artificially. 本当に時間がかかって値段が高くなってしまうのもよくわかる It gives you high proce for natural perfume. 博物館で香水の入れ物の変遷など見入っていたら14時 There are some bottles of perfume in the ancient era. お昼ご飯を食べようとレストランを探すも空いていない It became 14 o'clock and looked for a restrant, but they are closed. 今日は日曜日なので、お店の人もゆっくり休んでいるそう Today is Sunday, so they don't work. パン屋だけは空いていたので飢えずにすんだ One bakary shop was open and we weren't starve. そのあと丘の上の景色がキレイなグルドンへ移動 After that, we went to go to the hill in Gourdon so that we can see the beautiful sight. 今夜は明日の出発に備えて空港近くのホテルを予約 We reserved the hotel near the airport for tomorrow departure. 夜ご飯は部屋で友人が日本から持ってきた非常食ご飯と豚汁を食べました For tonight,...
