ミャンマー2日目 The 2nd day in Myanmar まずは友人が働く職場見学へ First, we visited my friend's office, actually it's clinic. 友人は日本の病院からミャンマー診療所に派遣され、ミャンマーの医療向上に努めている My friend was sent by Japanese hospital to improve the technique in the medical filed in Myanmar. 今日は私のために有給を取ってくれて観光 Just for me, she took day off to take me to the sight seeing. まずは遅めの朝ごはんとしてチャイ、揚げパンと麺 We took Chai tea, bread, and noodle as breakfast. 首都らしい都会の一角を通り過ぎて、スーレーパゴダと呼ばれる仏塔へ Walking down t hrough the developped district with high buildings, we arrived at Sule Pagoda. タイ同様、金色に輝いているけど形が違う The Pagoda is made with gold paintings as same as Thailand, but the shape of the Pagoda is different. その後、日本の国際協力で建てたという船着き場を利用して対岸のダラ地区へ Next, we took a ship to go to the other side of the river which is called "Dala." 中心部とはかなり格差が大きく、 The economic situation in Dala looks lower than the central part in Yangon. 途上国あるあるではあるが、タクシーがしつこく付きまとってくる It often happens in developping co...

タイ3日目、ミャンマー1日目 The 3rd day in Thailand and the 1st day in Myanmar. 元気なおばちゃんが用意してくれる目玉焼きとウインナー付きの朝食を食べて I ate breakfast which very cute and cheerful lady serves the hot meal for breakfast at the guest house. スーツケースはゲストハウスに預けリュックだけで出発 Since I would come back to this guest house after traveling Myanmar,  到着したスワンナプーム空港でなくドンムアン空港に向かうので早めにチェックアウト I left my luggage and checked out with my backpack to go to the Airport. ネット情報に従いながら電車に乗り、バスに乗り、ドンムアン空港へ Following the infomation on the internet, I took the train and bus to get to the DMK. ミャンマーのヤンゴンの空港では友達がお出迎え At Yangon International Airport, my Japanese friend waited for me.  そのままお勧めレストランで夕食なのだが、 Directly she tried to take me to the restaurant for dinner, but なぜかアルコールが置いていないレストランなので at restaurant, they don't serve alcohol strangely (it's allowed to drink alcohol). コンビニで購入して持ち込むパターン First we bought some beer in the store to take them to the restaurant. 初めてのミャンマー料理にミャンマービール美味しかったー It was the first experience...

タイ2日目 The 2nd day in Thailand 昨日からお金がないと言いながらも、 I said that I don't have money, it means that I don't have cash in Bahts. ドル・ユーロあるしクレジットでATMから引き落とせる I do have dollars and euros, and more credit card, so I can withdraw cash from ATM. ただ、手数料かかるのが勿体ないのでこのままなんとかしよう But it costs some fees and I don't wanna pay for it, so I tried to manage somehow. 寺院に行くためにタクシーは高そうだったので、 Taking taxi to go to the temple seems to be expensive, 電車で船着き場まで行って船。なかなか快適 I decided to take a train and boat and it was fun.   ダンスパフォーマンスや博物館もあるというワットプラケオへ I n Emerald buddha, there is a dance performance and a museum. チケット売り場に並んだあげく「パフォーマンス中止」と書いてある I went there and found the sign which says "NO PERFORMANCE TODAY" after standing in line. なんだかツイてないなぁーと思いながらチケット購入 It seems that I don't have a luck and I bought a ticket anyway. ワットプラケオの中は タイっぽーいという宮殿や象や像 Inside, there are golden buildings and statue of elephant which represent Thailand. タイは日本と同じく一度...

移動日・タイ1日目 Flying from Rwanda through Nairobi and the first day in Thailand. ベナンでは40ユーロで6日間過ごせた（宿除く）ので、 I spent 40 euros for six days in Benin, so I easily estimated that タイ3日で40ユーロ（宿除く）なら足りるかと安易に考えたのが仇となる 40 euros should be enough for three days in Thailand. ルワンダ最終日 The last day in Rwanda. 今日はゆっくり近所を散歩 This morning, we ealked around around her town in Nyamata. ルワンダは丘が多くて坂が多いのに自転車タクシーが流行っている Even though there are many hills in Rwanda, bicycle taxi is very famous. 荷台には取っ手やクッションが整備されていて On their back, there are handle and cushions for stability and comfortable. お兄ちゃんたちがどんなデコボコ道でも坂道でも必死にこいでくれる The young boys take us to everywhere we want even on the rough road. まずは 恒例の郵便局にて日本へのポストカードを投函 I went to the post office to send some postcards to Japan. その後、毎日やっているという市場へ And, we went to the market which is opened everyday. 売っているものはベナンと似ていたけど They had pretty much the same things from Benin, but はかりが置いてあるところが大雑把じゃなくてすごい！と思いました I was surprised that they do have scales which I haven't seen in Benin. They never measure. お昼はルワンダの愛称でもある「1000コリンズ」レストラン For lunch, my friend chose the restrant "thousand hills",which is the nick name for Rwanda ステーキを美味しくいただきました and had a delicious beef stake....

ルワンダ5日目 The 5th day in Rwanda 今日もルワンダらしい朝食 We had Rwandan breakfast. ルワンダでは牛が生活の中でとても重要で In Rwanda, cows are very important in their lives, so 牛乳は昔から飲んだり伝統行事で登場したりする milk is always there from old days and also in the traditional events. 今朝はその牛乳を使った飲むヨーグルトと揚げドーナツ・チャパティ For breakfast we ordered yogurt which is made from Rwandan milk, doughtnut, and chapati. その後、友達の職場についていく And then I followed my friend to go to the office. 日本だとアポイントがないと職場に入れないけど、 In Japan, usually it's not allowed to visit office without appointment, ベナンもケニアもルワンダも出入り自由で but it's free if you have a friend from their office in Benin, in Kenya, also in Rwanda. 挨拶にいくとみんな笑顔で対応してくれてとても温かい Even if there is someone without appointment, they give warm welcome. 農業隊員なので活動中の畑を見せてもらうことに My friend works as an advisor for the farmers and showed me some field. 隊員が指導した通りに苗が列状に準備されてました（左が従来） As she advised, the farmers prepared seedlings in line.
