Day15 スーフォールズの遊び方 Sioux Falls

アメリカ9日目
The 9th day in the United States.

ソルトレークシティーからミネアポリス乗り継ぎでサウスダコタ州スーフォールズへ
I was flying from SLC to Sioux Falls in South Dakota.

留学したのはミネソタ州でしたが、ホストファミリーが引っ越したのでここに来ました

I stayed with my host family in MN 14 years ago, but they moved to SD. That's why I came here.

こちら今日は10月31日、ハロウィン🎃

Here is Oct. 31th, which means "Halloween."

ハロウィンの変装をしてカフェでくつろいでいるホストマザーのパートナーの元へ向かう
We went to the coffe shop where my host mom's partner was staying at.

黒のごみ袋で作ったモンスターペンギン🐧
Here is the monster of penguin made of black plastic bag.

何歳になっても楽しむ心を持っているのだなー（81歳です）
He knows how to enjoy the Halloween no matter how old he gets.

本当は「トリックオアトリート」とお菓子をもらいにいくはずなのに
Actually, the people who wear costumes ask for treats saying "Trick or Treats,"

パートナーはとても陽気で優しい人なので、
Since he(Penguin) is very funny and kind, 

ハロウィンクッキーを買って街中の店を歩いて店員さんにクッキーをプレゼント

he brought some cookies for employees.

午後はママが2番目のお姉さんと喫茶店で合流して、
In the afternoon, my host mom has an appointment with her older sister at the cafe.

一番上のお姉さんとスカイプするというのでついていく
I went with her and three of us tried to talk on skype with another older sister.

3姉妹、それぞれご主人をなくしてから井戸端会議をするようになって
After their husbands passed away, they started to talk to hang out.

こうやって集まるのが毎週木曜日の習慣だそうな
This is what the ladies do on Thursdays, which is very nice.

夜はまだ入ったことのないというお寿司屋さんでテイクアウト
For dinner, we took some sushi since they never tried it before.

The Japanese owner has started this restaurant here 19 years ago.

とても気さくな方で私のつたない英語のフォローもしていただき助かりました
He is nice and helped my English to explain things to my host mom.

そして初めて食べたというお寿司は美味しいと好評でした
And we really enjoyed sushi. Good.
