ベナン5日目
The 5th day in Benin

今日は毎週土曜日に開かれる市場の日

The market in Grand-Popo is held every Saturday.

今回の滞在でお世話になったみんなに果物のお返し

I bought some fruits for the people who treated me very well during this stay.

食べさせてもらった分に値しているか分からないけれどほんの気持ち

I'm not sure that it's enough to show my appreciation, 

そんな風に循環している社会

but I just like this cycle in this society.

お昼は唯一日本からFacebookで連絡がとれた同僚とご飯

For lunch, I went out with my ex-colleague.

農業センターで一緒に働いていた同僚は

He, who was working in the same agricultural center, 

少ないと文句をいいながらも一定額の給料をもらっている

gets certain amount of money every month, which he complains that it's not enough.

待ち合わせ場所で待っていると

While I was waiting him on the road,

バイクしかもっていなかったはずがまさかの車で登場

he came up with his new car. Last time he had a only motor bicycle.

公務員（平社員）でなかなか車を持てるほど稼げない

The national worker (without title) cannot make enough money to buy a car.

聞くと畑に投資していてバナナ畑が儲かっているよう

He told me that he investigate the banana land and it makes money.

彼は頭の回転が速く、将来のための投資・貯蓄を計画的にしている

He is very smart and he all planed well for the future.

研修でヨーロッパに行ったことがあるので物価の違いをよく理解している

He had some experience in Europe and knows well the difference of the price between countries.

日本人が新卒2000ユーロ、家賃が500-800ユーロだとして、

Some Beninese think that I'm very rich, but he understands that I'm not very rich

決して私がお金持ちではないことを理解している

after talking that Japanese youngs earn 2000 euros and pay for house 500 to 800 euros. 

日本人もベナン人も定職があればみんなコツコツ貯金をして生きている

We are the same to save money if you have a job and get money regulary.

定期的な収入がないとベナンも日本も生きていくのが難しい
If you don't, it's hard to live in Benin and also in Japan.

根本は一緒だなとランチを食べながらしみじみ感じました
Probably it's same in all over tha world.

あ夜は機織りおばちゃんのところに行って最後の晩餐「パットルージュ」At night, I went to the lady's house and had the last dinner "Red- PATE" in Grand-Popo.
