Day32　グランポポ・コトヌー遊び方　Grand-Popo and Cotonou

The 6th day in Benin

 お別れの挨拶のため村長宅へ行くと

To say good-bye, I went to the village chief's house.

5年前は幼かった孫が上手にナタを使えるようになって
His grand child was too small to use a chopper 5 years ago.
ココナッツをご馳走してくれた
This time he picked up one and cut it for me.

中の汁があまり好きではないけど、白い実は美味しくて好き
Honestly I don't really like the water inside, but I like the white part.
グランポポの家ではWifiが使えないので
I didin't have wifi at my house in Grand-Popo, I went to the hotel to use wifi by ordering one juice.

グランポポ隊員の特権、ホテルでジュースを頼みWifiを使う作戦
It's a kind of a special privilege  by living in Grand-Popo, which has  nice beach and hotel in Benin.
今の隊員はWifiルーターを契約して家でインターネッとに繋がるらしい
Recently, if you have a contract of using wifi router, you can get a connection everywhere.

次の旅程の確認とホテルの予約をしながら海を眺めてリラックス
I booked some hotels for the next journey and made me relaxed near the ocean.

最後に農家さんが夜ご飯に「アカサ」を持たせてくれました
At the end, the farmer in Grand-Popo gave some "AKASA" for me before leaving.
コトヌーに戻り、同じゲストハウスへ
Finally, I went back to the same guesthouse in Cotonou.

ミャンマー2日目 The 2nd day in Myanmar まずは友人が働く職場見学へ First, we visited my friend's office, actually it's clinic. 友人は日本の病院からミャンマー診療所に派遣され、ミャンマーの医療向上に努めている My friend was sent by Japanese hospital to improve the technique in the medical filed in Myanmar. 今日は私のために有給を取ってくれて観光 Just for me, she took day off to take me to the sight seeing. まずは遅めの朝ごはんとしてチャイ、揚げパンと麺 We took Chai tea, bread, and noodle as breakfast. 首都らしい都会の一角を通り過ぎて、スーレーパゴダと呼ばれる仏塔へ Walking down t hrough the developped district with high buildings, we arrived at Sule Pagoda. タイ同様、金色に輝いているけど形が違う The Pagoda is made with gold paintings as same as Thailand, but the shape of the Pagoda is different. その後、日本の国際協力で建てたという船着き場を利用して対岸のダラ地区へ Next, we took a ship to go to the other side of the river which is called "Dala." 中心部とはかなり格差が大きく、 The economic situation in Dala looks lower than the central part in Yangon. 途上国あるあるではあるが、タクシーがしつこく付きまとってくる It often happens in developping co...

Day28　コトヌー・グランポポの遊び方　Cotonou and Grand-Popo

ベナン2日目 The 2nd day in Benin 今までのようにどこにでもWifiがあるわけではないので There is no wifi everywhere like developped countries. まずはコトヌーでSIM探し I look for a SIM in Cotonou before leaving. 隊員ドミトリー⇔事務所間にできたMTN（通信会社） There is a new MTN store which they didn't have 5 years ago. 身分証明としてパスポートを提出する I handed in the passport as an ID to employee. コピー機がないので必要な情報を紙に書き写している He started to copy it by hand because they don't have a copy machine. こりゃ1時間コースだなと思っていたら I suspected that it would take more than one hour. なんと15分で手続き終わった！しかも100F！ However, it's done within 15minutes and costs 100F. 道端のおばちゃんからもSIM買えますが、 We can buy SIM cards at the store on the road,  but it costs 1000F, 1000Fするらしいので店舗に行くとよいでしょう so it's better to go to the branch store. そして朗報！あのガタガタ・ぐちゃぐちゃの道がキレイになってる！ And what's new is that the bumpy road became proper completely. 道の状態によっては2～3時間かかっていたところが1.5時間でグランポポに到着 It took only 1.5hours wich is of course faster than befor...
