ケニア最終日・ルワンダ1日目
The last day in Kenya and the 1st day in Rwanda

今日も奥さんのパンケーキが食べれて嬉しい朝食

Today's breakfast was of cource ready on time and we had pancakes made by his wife.

午前中は研究所のラボを見学

In the morning we had a tour of the laboratory.

JICAと某国立大学が絡んでいることもあって日本の機械がたくさん

Japan International Cooperation Agency and the national Japanese University is involed to this institute.

ここでケニア人たちが結果を出そうと一生懸命働いていることが嬉しい

There are many Japanese equipments and I'm happy to see that Kenyan work hard in this lab.

研究所では研究者の実験を多くの労働者が手伝っている

There are many workers who help the scientists.

労働者たちは理系の知識はないもののJICAの研修を受けた人たちで

The workers didn't get any scientific education, but they had a training of JICA and

葉っぱや根っこの数を朝から晩まで数えてくれる

help to coung the number of leaves and roots from the morning till afternoon.

こうして研究者は論文やプレゼンの作成に集中できる

Thanks to them, the scientists can concentrate to creat the paper and the presentation.

お昼は学生さんのお宅で天津飯

For lunch Japanese students invited me.

学生さんたちとのたまたまの出逢い、嬉し楽しかったです

I didn't expect to meet Japanese and it was a good meeting.

ケニアは思った以上に発展していて

In Kenya (in the cities), they are developped than I expected.

地熱発電所もあれば、食品工場もあり、企業が競争をしている

They do have the energy station of the geothermal and factories to process the food.

大学も授業料はほとんど国が出してくれるそう

A most tuition of the university is supported by  the government.

ただし理系研究に関しては施設や機械が充実していないので、

However they don't have enough equipmento for the scientific studies,

友人は奨学金を得て博士課程を日本で過ごした

my friend came to study during his master and doctor course.

日本では大勢の飲み会でしか話す機会がなかったけど、

I didn't have a chance to talk alot with him during his stay in Japan.

じっくり日本のこと、ベナンのこと、ケニアのこと、自分たちのことを話せてよかったな

It was a good moment to talk about Japan, Benin, Kenya, and about us. 

今夜はルワンダ入り

Tonight, I flew to Rwanda.

ルワンダも大学の後輩が案内してくれるので楽しみ
The next trip is organizes by my Japanese friend who also studied together in the University.
