ルワンダ2日目
The 2nd day in Rwanda

友人はセミナーに参加するがあったので、私はひとりでキガリ観光

I went out alone since my frind had a seminar today.

首都を走っているタクシーにはメーターがついているので安心

In taxi in Kigali, there are taximeter and no need to negociate the price. 

また、ルワンダ人は政府の教育方針からルワンダ語・フランス語・英語を

And Rwandan can speak three languages such as Kinyarwanda, French, and English.

話すことができるのでどの国の人も観光にもしくは生活に困ることはない

Foreigners can easily communicate by using any other languages.

まずはルワンダの歴史を知るために虐殺記念館へ

First, to know the history in Rwanda I went to the genocide museum in Kigali.

1994年に起きた悲劇

The tragedy which had happened in 1994.

日本にいるときはあまり詳しいことは知らなかった

I didn't know well about the genocide in Rwanda before.

始まりはベルギーの植民地時代までさかのぼること、

The beginning of genocide has been started from the colonial period by Belgium.

虐殺の最中フランスが関与していたこと、

During genocide, Frence got involved in.

虐殺後は少数派民族が家族を殺した加害者を許し、

After the genocide, the minority group forgave the other majority group who killed their beloved people, 

民族を区別することなく"ルワンダ人"として生活をしていること、

and they started to live as "Rwandan" not be separated by ethnic group.

共に国を作っていく努力をしていること、

They're trying to rebuilt the nation together again.

初めてきちんと「ルワンダ」という国を知りました

That was my first time to know about "Rwanda."

午後はカフェでゆっくりして街を歩く

In the after noon, I went to cafe and walked around the city.

 街にはゴミひとつ落ちていなくて途上国とは思えないほどキレイ

In the city, there is no garbage on the road and it's clean not like the image of developping countries. 

「千の丘」として知られるほど丘が多く歩くのは少し大変

Rwand has a different name as "Millions hills," and it's a little bit hard to walk around,

その代わりタクシー、バス、バイクタクシーがあって便利

but you can take taxies, buses, and motorbike taxies, and it makes convenient.

標高が高くて年中住みやすい気候

And more the altitude is high and it's good climate whole year.

日本人の方々が口をそろえて「住みやすい」と言っていた

Many Japanese who live in Rwanda said it's nice to stay.

ベナンって住みにくかったんだなー

I suppose that living in Benin is quite hard.
