The 4th day in Rwanda
コーヒーの試験場の説明を受けながら山を登っていく
The guide explained the field experiments in the mountain.
We had famous and delicious some icecream which American helped to establish.
4時間かけて友人宅のあるニャマタに帰宅
We took a bus for four hours to go to my friend's house in Nyamata.
友人はルワンダ人の大家さんと家をシェアしているので、
My friend shares the house with the owner's family.
美味しいルワンダご飯にありつけました
We found some Rwandan food which mama prepared when we've got to the house.

ルワンダで人気のミルクティーを飲みながらバスを待つ
We had popular milk tea in Rwanda in the morning.
今日は観光地として有名なコーヒーマウンテンツアー
Today's plan is attending a coffee mountain tour.

コーヒーは飲むけれどその歴史は初めて知った

The origin of coffee is in Ethiopia.
ヤギがコーヒーの実を食べて行動がおかしくなってしまったことから
After some goats took a bite of coffee beans, they got dizzy.
燃やして廃棄しようとしたら良い香りがして嗜好品として食するようになったそう
The farmer thought that these beans might be dangerous and burned it, and then
そして、コーヒーはエチオピアから東回りで伝えられ、
the good smell was coming out from the beans and they started to enjoy as coffee.
お近くのルワンダには100～200年遅れて伝来したそう
The coffee spreaded from Etiopia and it took 100 to 200 years to reach Rwanda.
コーヒーの実を開けると白い豆が登場
Inside of the red coffee beans there are white beans.
甘い汁に包まれていて舐めると甘い！
They are surrounded by liquid which is called "honey" and of course sweet.
これを炒るとお店に売っているコーヒー豆になるのです
After you roast these white beans, they are the coffee hat you can see in the store.
少しだけですが、コーヒーマニアになれました
I became a coffee master a bit.
お昼はルワンダビュッフェ！
For lunch, we had a plate called "Rwanda Buffet."
ブッフェなのに１回しか取りに行けないシステムー
It is called "Buffet," but you can go and get food only once at the beginning.
料金によって肉の数も決まっていて日本とは違うなー
And the amount of meat is determined by the price. It's very different from what we have in Japan.
